The All Japan Natural Bodybuilding Federation is an organization that supports bodybuilding as a sport. It strictly prohibits the use of banned substances to ensure fairness in competition and the safety of athletes' health.

Testosterone
All forms of testosterone, including creams, gels, patches, pellets, and injections, are strictly prohibited regardless of the reason, even if prescribed by a doctor. The T/E ratio (testosterone/epitestosterone ratio) is used to measure the presence of exogenous testosterone or illegal increases in testosterone levels. A T/E ratio exceeding 6:1 is considered positive, regardless of the cause.

**If banned substances (e.g., nandrolone) are found in urine, it is considered a positive test regardless of how they entered the body.**
**Prescription thyroid hormones used for bodybuilding purposes are prohibited.**
**Any prescription diuretic used for bodybuilding purposes is prohibited starting 3 months before WNBF competition, even if prescribed by a doctor.**
**Athletes with heart-related complications may be granted a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) for treatment purposes.**
**Spironolactone prescribed for acne treatment cannot be used within 14 days before INBF/WNBF events. There are no exceptions.**

Athletes taking prescription stimulants for "stimulant" effects must have a current prescription and must notify the promoter and INBF/WNBF to obtain a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE). Additionally, these substances must not be abused. The use of stimulants or drugs with similar physiological effects, even if not explicitly listed here, is prohibited. Extreme weight loss drugs are not eligible for a TUE.

Substances in this category that produce intoxicating effects are prohibited for 48 hours prior to undergoing a polygraph test at INBF/WNBF.
If an athlete fails the test and the polygraph examiner determines that the athlete was under the influence, the result will be considered equivalent to a ban period for polygraph and/or urine test failure.
